"Our journey all started a month after we got married. In April of 2018 I underwent a surgery and was diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis. We were told if we wanted to have a baby we should start trying to do so. Knowing I also have PCOS we were shocked to find out at the end of June we were expecting our first baby. That excitement was short lived when I miscarried at 6 weeks. We continued to try with no luck. About a year and a couple failed IUI treatments I underwent another endometriosis surgery with a different doctor than the first. That doctor told me I had a severe uterine septum and I will need to undergo another surgery to have it removed. I had that surgery removed and it followed by 2 more failed IUI cycles. I then decided to just really focus on myself and work on my health. I ended up getting VSG and lost over 100lbs. A year after that we were ready to start trying again. I once again saw a new doctor and he did more blood work. My levels were awful. He said the chances of us having our own biological children were slim to none even with IVF. We decided to go down the adoption route. At almost a year of being a waiting family we were matched and prepping for our adoption of a little girl. During this process I could tell my endo was back. I went to see yet another doctor, due to moving so much. He preformed another endometriosis surgery and found a huge mass inside my uterus. With more testing it was determined it was a fibroid and we got that removed with yet another surgery. At my post op appointment my dr suggested that we try IVF that he thinks it would really work for us. Skeptical, we got a consult just to see our options, We met with the IVF doctor and he said we would be a great candidate, So while waiting for this little girl to come via adoption we went through the egg retrieval process and froze 7 embryos. Our adoption unfortunately ended up as a failed adoption. We decided to move forward with an embryo transfer. Skeptical and hopeful. IT WORKED! Our transfer worked. Finally after 6 years of infertility we got our rainbow baby. Our first ultrasound shocked us and we were pregnant with twins! Unfortunately only one of them had a heartbeat. Our little Hunter. We were so excited to bring our little boy into this world. We just had the most perfect anatomy scan. Just 8 days after our anatomy scan I ended up in preterm labor due to PPROM and IC. On June 21st 2024 at 3:18 am I delivered our beautiful perfect 20 week gestation baby boy sleeping. We are absolutely devastated. Following our loss of Hunter our IVF doctor encouraged us to do a full immune panel. When we got the results back we were shocked to find 3 underlying issues that caused our losses. Now that we know, we have extensive treatment protocol we will be following for our next pregnancy. We are currently trying to prepare myself for another embryo transfer in the upcoming months."
